Hey guys, so I am stuck between getting a used Peavy 6505 or a Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier. The tones I am trying to achieve are Thrice, A day to remember, Atreyu, Beartooth, Between the buried and me, and Manchester Orchestra. Cheers
For that the 6505 definitely.
Well, you can call me crazy
You can call me wrong, 'cause
See I was born a liar, albatross
Fly on, fly on
I'd say try both extensively and see which you prefer. Both those amps are a pretty sizable investment and there's nothing worse than realizing two months down the line that you'd prefer the piece of gear you didn't buy.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not
For that sounds, 6505 anyday.
Name's Luca.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

I guess spambots are now capable of reading minds.
Either will work fine
Thrice and ADTR are more Mesa the rest are 6505

Personally I'd go with the Mesa and throw a TS9 or similar OD in front as a boost
