Hi
I am a beginner guitarist and I want to learn the tab
for bella's lullaby from twilight. It seems simple but I've
seen some YouTube videos with a certain fingerpicking
style for this song where the thumb plucks the lower three
strings and all the other fingers pluck the top three
strings. Video link up top of post.
i just can't seem to replicate this. Any exercises
/techniques would be seriously welcome!

That's the general rule of thumb to follow when fingerpicking. Obviously you've just started the technique so it's nothing but practice. Lots and lots of practice.

As for recommendations..

There's the ever so obvious Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. That's the first song myself and many others learned with fingerpicking. It's definitely a great one.
