Okay I thought this would be interesting to see everyone's top 5 metal guitar duos.
1. Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman - Megadeth
2. Gary Holt and Lee Altus - Exodus
3. Rob Barrett and Pat O'Brien - Cannibal Corpse
4. Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick - Testament
5. Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King - Slayer
In case y'all were wondering, my next two duos would have to be Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield from Metallica then Alexi Laiho and Roope Latvala from Children of Bodom.
1. WC and WBaT

Everything else is irrelevant.
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.
This is a tough call, but I might have to go with:

1. Megadeth - Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman
2. Iron Maiden - Adrian Smith and Dave Murray (and Janick Gers if three is accepted)
3. Between the Buried and Me - Paul Waggoner and Dusty Wangar
4. Death - Chuck Shuldiner and Paul Masvidal
5. Testament - Alex Skonick and Eric Peterson

With special mentions to Machine Head, Opeth, Ne Obliviscaris, Animals as Leaders, and Metallica. That was harder than I expected and Ifeel like my order will switch depeding on how I feel.
1. Megadeth - Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman
2. Necrophagist - Muhammed Suicmez and Saami Ratikainen
3. Opeth - Mikael Akerfeldt and Fredrik Akesson
4. Nevermore :'( - Jeff Loomis And Chris Broderick
5. Daath - Eyal Levi and Emil Werstler
Kratos, it was a little difficult. I was going to say Iron Maiden but I didn't since I figured I'd be criticized for having 3 hahaha. These are some good lists

Are you talking about those weird sphincter-spasms where it feels like there's a ghost dick in your ass for a little while and then it just disappears?

Good god Mastodon chug a hefty load. Here is the real answer:

I don't know if that is supposed to be a compliment or insult
But anyway, the question was Metal Guitarist DUOS
and I probably should have added, that I think that Brent Hinds and Bill Kelliher work really well together, especially live. That is why I like them, not purely based on technique and sound, but also compatibility. So there!!!

Nobody mentioned Jeff Waters + Dave Padden yet? Come on guys, and you all pretend to know metal?? Haha
Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson are my favorites along with those. And yeah, theres always the classic ones like the guys from Maiden and Priest, but be honest, these are heros of the past. A lot of new and more evolved hero's have risen.
