I am trying the best I can
doing all I can, giving all I can
I cant express how much you mean to me...
yet I cant change who I am

I cant seem to find the words
to describe your sensuality, your creativity
your intellect and your beauty
I will always lean towards you,
you will always have a pillow that smells like me

when despite your anger i stay
does it burn you? do you say
to yourself,
I should have left him
I should have met someone else?
I'm sorry.
If you do something right, no one will know you've done anything at all

The word 'sorry' is sometimes used when it really shouldn't be. Easy to say, but almost impossible to live by.

Because ever so often, a crack emerges between the desire for unity, and the fear of compromising the spirit of self. And love becomes a pray of the ego, despite the best intentions.

Then, before you know it, it is gone.

In hindsight, one may ask who was being egotistical and why. But such a one will never understand the other.

There is no reason, no 'because' to answer a 'why'. Love simply separates for the chance of unity.

I liked this text.

Come on dude don't let that woman dictate you. There are plenty of fish in the sea.

Good lyrics, though.

thanks for the crit! Im glad you appreciated it. I think I was just venting about a lot of stuff in this piece and trying to capture all that raw emotion on paper.

I really liked the line "you will always have a pillow that smells like me"

I can relate to that.

Thanks
that's actually my favorite line out of the whole thing, and also one of the lines I am most proud of having wrote. I'm really glad, and even honored that you could connect with it and appreciate it.
