Hey guys!

I'm going to be investing in my first good/decent amp and I need your opinions. I play mostly hard rock and metal and am in need of an amp for bedroom playing and for small gigs. So far I'm caught between the line 6 spider IV 75 and the vox valvetronix+ vt80. I'm going to go and try 'em out as soon as they re-stock at my local store, but before that I'd like to hear what you people prefer.

Look at the Jet City JCA50h or 22h at Thomann and a Harley Benton G212 vintage cab. You will have a great setup that is very inexpensive.

Seems nice. I've grown really fond of the celestion v30. Sadly those products cannot be found in Norway so I'm going to have to book a little trip to Germany to try those bad boys out.

Here is the JCA 22h

This is the 100h and is the same as the 50h (only 1/2 the wattage)

I'm certainly going to look into the 50h and maybe order it soon. For its low cost it sure does seem like a steal. The 22h seems like a toned down version of the upper wattage JCAs.

They do, but I was hoping that they would have an online store here, in Norway. The Norwegian import taxes are pretty disgusting. If an item that is bought from abroad costs more than 45-50 USD (including shipping) then the tax comes in. You pay 25% of the total cost of the items you bought. So if the total cost of the cabinet + amp is 550 USD then that means that I pay $140 extra taxes (total approx. $700). It's technically cheaper for me to ship it to Germany and collect it there.

The 22h has the same preamp as the bigger ones, but it has a 20 watt EL84 power section and the others have a 6L6 power section.

Thats kinda messed up. F the man

I can vouch for the JCA50H. I've had mine for almost 2 years, and haven't had any issues. Sounds killer for the price pt. I usually run it into a Mesa 212 with V30's.
