I honestly can't imagine why someone would want a performance SUV, much less a performance pick-up truck.

I agree, V8 engines are usually gas-guzzlers. This is why I'd rather have a supercharged/turbocharged 6-cylinder, at least as a daily driver. With a good enough charger, a car with a 6-cylinder engine could easily match one with a naturally aspirated V8. The M3 engine with 414HP, the Noble M12 GTO-3R with 352 (though it's not as powerful, its lightness makes up for it). There's also the GTR's current engine (though it's a V6, 3.8 L is quite large, anyway). Some of my dream cars have V8s (RS5, 12C, and the 458), but they'd be reserved for special days.

Drive a V6/straight-six, save the V8/V12 for special days.

I'm counting down the days until everybody else rides an electric / hydrogen self guiding car so that I can drive some gas guzzling naturally aspirated high revving death-on-wheels in peace.

1. We're already screwed
2. Nobody that has a hobby car drives it all the time, I have a 1968 Buick GS400 that is going to get a 455 with open headers, the car will barely be driveable on the road, much less as more than a weekend car.

I drive a Volkswagen every day.

I was just driving behind a Corvette Stingray a few minutes ago, which I should have mentioned earlier. The Eco mode would make it very fuel-efficient as a daily driver. I wish all cars had a feature where you can deactivate cylinders.

During the Middle Ages, a number of villages were located in the present-day area of Getafe. One of the main villages was Alarnes, which was very close to the current urban center. In 1326, the villagers united themselves into one town, situated on the royal road that linked Madrid with Toledo. This new town was called Xatafi, a name which came from the Arab word jata ("something long"). It is assumed that the name Xatafi referred to the royal road, which also served as the town's main street. The town's name evolved over time, from Xetafe to Jetafee to Jetaphe to Jetafe to Getafe.
