I'm interested in upgrading the pickups in my Jaguar Classic Player HH. The guitar is currently set up with the Humbucker/Single Coil blending option, so I'd like to be able to keep using that.

I'm looking for something with a bit more clarity and punch. Tone similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qN9Fn144h_s

Any suggestions?

I had a Jaguar HH Special and stuck GFS Retrotrons in it...and it was a match made in heaven. All the jangle you could possibly want but still had the warmth and depth and clarity of humbuckers. The middle position had such a lovely strat-like "bell chime" tone too. It was a fantastic match and they sounded unbelievably thick and fat and delicious when overdriven.

TV Jones is your friend:

You might also do well to check out Lollar, Rio Grande and Vintage Vibe pickups. Possibly Lace Alumitones. But TV Jones would be my first, best instinct.
