Which of the following would you choose and why
1. Esp ltd ec200qm
2. Epiphone les paul studio gothic
3. Cort kx1q
4. Esp ltd mh50

If I HAD to I'd choose the Epiphone. But at that price I'd go used and get something better.

Yes, and people still got polio and you had to crank your car up by hand and put whale oil in the lamps every night.

Things are better now.

Style is in the hands. Taste is in the hands. But tone? Tone is in the gear.

Yeah I agree, at that level those guitars arent too great, if I had to choose I would say the 200 series but.... go used, your local guitar store will surely have plenty of used guitars around that price range.
#5
I'd choose the Epiphone if I HAD to pick from just those guitars, but in reality I'd go used.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Omae wa mou
Shindeiru

If you're looking for something for heavier rock/metal in this budget, you should totally look at Schecter if you can find any. Omen is definitely in your price range, but if you're fine with actives, you can probably afford a Demon, or maybe even a Damien Elite.

Perhaps you can find one of the Jacksons made in India some years ago.
