hi guys

my ampeg pf350 fuses keep blowing. just put a new one in and some sparks flew out of the thermistor and the fuse didn't blow. could that be the problem that keeps making the fuses blow? i've checked for shorts and there isnt any?

thanks for the help

Sounds like there is a short somewhere. Could even be inside of a power tube. You may not necessarily see/hear/smell a short, like if you shorted wires coming out of your wall receptacles.

Tube amps run at high voltages - if you don't feel qualified to be working on it, take it to your local tech. Fuses blow for a reason, as long as you're replacing it with correctly rated fuses.

There is a problem. My best advice to start with is take it to a shop, or take all the tubes out, start it up, see if it pops.

Remember to unplug the amp before installing new fuses.
