Selltick for the football team, Kelltick for historical shizzle.
'And after a while, you can work on points for style.
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.'

So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.'

If so then if Celtic = selltic then Pad Thai = sad thai.

Q. How did I make it out of eye-rack?

A. Eye-ran

OP: Kel-tic.

I think I heard it pronounced "sell" when I used to play football as a kid. But I don't care for football, so when I have to say the word, it'll be "Kel"

It's a word used in English, so that pretty much fits the requirements for it to be an English word.
