So today I took the plunge and finally financed myself a 2014 Gibson Les Paul Traditional! Wanted a les Paul for so long and decided I'd treat myself, it was between this, a classic and a standard and this just blew the other two out of the water in terms of tone and playability, will post some pictures when I get home tonight!

All sorts of hyped to see it. A Gibson Les Paul just seems like something guitarist should own at some point in their lifetime...How they play isn't really my style. The scale length messes with me I think...Though I've only played one standing up once and that was when I was a lot worse of a player. But I have so much respect for the name they've made for themselves. What color is it?? Can't wait for pics! HND!

I was considering getting the same model a few months ago....decided against it but it's still a great player for the price. I'd pick it over most others Gibson has out now. Enjoy it!

You cannot go wrong with a good Les Paul! HNGD! Enjoy the hell out of it!

Thanks guys! I'll definitely be getting strap locks but the strap buttons along with the leather strap I got with it seem pretty bombers so they'll do for now!
If I'd got the standard that would have had minitune on it but the standard just didn't have that classic les Paul tone!

Man. When that first pic finished loading I took a deep breath and held it. That color is AMAZING. "Breath taking" I might say. HND!

It's been a dream of mine for while, it sounds as good as it looks!

I had one for 8 years, loved it and eventually even put EMGs in but finally sold it, then played a 2015 Les Paul Less+ (thin bodied Les Paul, thin as a strat) this week that played a million times better than my 2006 ever did. Kind of want one again.

Although currently looking for a Jackson Dinky with EMGs or a JB/TB4.
#23
Awesome looking guitar!! I hope it plays as great as it looks! HNGD!!
#24
Cheers dude, believe me it does! And the tone is just what I've been looking for! Just need to get myself a Marshall now and I'll be sorted!

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Very cool dude. Know how you feel. I bought a Gibson LP 2014 three months ago. Best buy I have ever made. Great stuff! Enjoy!
I'll add my precious here as well. I love your sunburst finish. Very nice. I decided to go without the pickguard though, didn't want to cover up the lovely burst ;-)

It sounds pretty sweet. Great cleans, a nice crunch option for the clean channel and the distortion is really kickass. I've actually now been able to 'clean up' my pedal board because this amp takes care of a lot of issues itself; ex. built in spring reverb (not digital-a real reverb , a boost option and two great channels. It is a little pricey though, but I'll have it for the rest of my life, so I consider it an investment - let's just hope I live long enough so that the return is high

He's a quick review I worte on it in case you're interested:

SORRY IF I'M TAKING THE ATTENTION AWAY FROM THE NEW GIBSON LP
AGAIN: IT IS REALLY SWEET! A BEAUTIFUL FINISH - ENJOY
