Title: Cryptnapped

Hey there guys!

I haven't posted on UG in ages, especially not with a recording. I guess that's life. I'd appreciate it if you could check out the link above and let me know what you think about the instrumentation, tone, and phrasing here. I appreciate your time. Please link me to whatever work/forum post you might have and I'd love to check it out.

Thanks dudes!

Yeah, Man, I really like the tone of your guitar, it reminds me a local band in my country but I can't find their name right now ><. It' a really great job, it's definitely the kind of music I like =)

Loving the tone. Production seems legit!

The riffs are pretty interesting, which accompanied by a jazzy lead makes for good listening. Its not overly complex to make the song over baring which is also good. The only problem is that I feel that it lacks slightly melodically, in a sense and also that it doesn't progress much or divert from that first riff.

Overall its a well produced song, keep em coming!

silvadolla,
Thank you for the reviews! Now your tune: interesting guitar tones, I like it. Sounds kinda 70's/80's/90's, which is fine by me. I like most of the chords & notes you are playing. Once in awhile you hit a note that sounds discordant for me. Ending was pretty abrupt. I hate it when my carcass gets cryptnapped. Drums are fine. Overall I like the tune.

Hello there.

This is cool - I really like the sound of the this. It' quite unusual (to me at least). Your lead work is solid and has a good tone. I like your drum sequencing too - the use of the double kick fits really well. If felt like it could do with some bass to fill out the bottom end and some vocals to tie it all together.

Cool track.

Hey man, sorry for the late response, hadn't checked back on my thread in a while as you can see!

Production of the track seems good - the drums especially are nice and clear in the mix. something that I struggle with from time to time. Guitar tones could do with a little less of the 'hissy' high mids but apart from that the tone is good!

Interesting progression through the track, I like the interweaving lead-y parts with more riff based sections, a bass track could definitely help beef up some of the heavier parts for sure.

Solo sections have a good looseness/free feel to them at points that avoids them getting tangled among the other parts in the rhythm section, definitely a benefit to the overall feel of the track.

The overall mix could do with some beefiness but nonetheless a solid track by itself!
