Hello Guitarists!

Basically I have a problem and I'm hoping someone here could help me out. I basically want to remove me fretboard from the neck as I want to customise it with LEDs etc. I have tried heating it up with an iron for a while and it still doesn't want to come off. I then advanced to using a heat gun, hoping that the glue would melt, but still no luck. I can't seem to get it off.

Does anyone here have any advice on how to tackle this problem?
Don't know if this helps at all but it is a 22 fret, Ridgewood neck.

Thank you

As I understand it, using an iron simply allows you to get a scraper between the fretboard and the neck. The iron won't make it so you can just pull the freboard right off. If you don't get any better responses here, you may want to try a Luthier's Forum like this one http://luthiersforum.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=10123 The website has a poor design but the users are good.
