Hello all, I believe this is my first post. Anyway, I picked up a nice acoustic at a garage sale and I can't seem find out much more than its model#5934, the serial #29206, age(21/6/78), and brand(Alvarez). Headstock says "slim" on the truss cover. It's setup is still great, it plays well and with such character.
Here are pictures of everything you would probably need to see. The Internet thus far has not been helpful.

Lots of references to various 5000-series instruments, apparently made in the 70s and 80s, but not that particular model. I'd write to Alvarez directly.

"guitater" That's a guitar crossed with a potato, isn't it?

Unless it's a guitar crossed with a "poe-tah-toe".

Meh, you say "potato", I say "guitar"...

Guitaters gonna guitate.
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.

Well, Happy "New to You", Guitar Day! That looks like it's in great shape.

The adjustable from the outside saddle is intriguing.

I'm jealous of the,"hippie strap" which came with it. They want like 20 bucks a pop for repro stuff these days, and they're just not the same. Then too, without one of those straps at least in the house, I forget all the words to my favorite protest songs...

You are aware that one black bridge pin has to go, right?
