Self taught mostly.
My dad taught me how to play the main riff for slow ride then I picked up everything else on my own.

It helped that I played the piano before that.

If KFC is finger-licking good, then people would probably suck dicks for Popeyes. That's how good it is.

There's nothing left here to be saved
Just barreling dogs and barking trains
Another year lost to the blue line

On the come up we were listening to Grateful Dead and the music started passing through my bowel and out my arsehole as this violet stream of light. I shat music. It was beautiful.

My father put a micro chip in my brain. Dunno why, because I learned guitar by taking guitar lessons for like 5 years.

I taught myself guitar. I began by using an old rhythm guitar book my dad had. For everything else, I used the internet.
I have nothing important to say

There shall be a stop to this madness. The battle is not over. My tasty licks aren't going anywhere.

^ I've just realised if you say Simple Plan's 2011 effort "Get Your Heart On!" really fast in a Southern American accent, it sounds gross. . .like sexual gross!

I learned the very 101 basics from a paul gilbert dvd that came with my first guitar. Then I learned some dumb riffs and tbh stopped learning after that and have just been jamming since then.

I just practiced , you know like everyone else in the world that plays guitar.

I took lessons for five or six years, I really liked my teacher and we became friends so I stuck with him until he moved away. He was just out of college, he had plans of moving to Russia but then a lot of craziness happened. Not sure why I told you that lol

Had 1 hour with a teacher who taught me how to hold the pick correctly and how to do power chords, from then on I taught myself using UG tabs. I am content with being forever intermediate.

I learned theory, piano, and violin from an early stage (music magnet elementary). My dad picked me up a guitar when I was in 5th grade and forced me to learn it. I hated it. Now I love it and hate it.

Piano dick had some good parts, but should have said "As the business man slowly gets boned", would have accented the whole dick feeling of the album

This whole thread is racist against non-guitarists!

I learned to play guitar with a book. In retrospect I should have learned to play with a pick instead.
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.

my boy tommy back in 7th grade wanted to become a rapper but he needed someone to help him make tracks & stuff so i would go and bogart the school's bass guitar and figured that shit out p fast

don't know what happened to tommy but i stuck w/ it and turned into some mini bootsy real talks it was jokes cuz i was legit puuuuny those days and here i am going to town on some huge ass bass guitar buncha kids would gather around when i picked that thing up and root me on lol taking requests from fall out boy to britney.. naturally that led to the 6 string which turned me into one of those greasy dipshit You Say Rihanna I Say GUNS AND ROSES 15 year olds lol i was never really good at guitar until i realized i should straight up ditch all that wank bullshit cuz it sucked and focus on the ~melodies~ cause that's all we want & need in the end <3

don't play much of either now but it's nice knowing i can pick em up and serenade a beluga whale for a qt if it ever comes down to that yknow? i always loved you rihanna xo
