Thanks!

It sounds studio-esque with the Diezel Herbert . I love that thing, I cover it with a king-sized bed sheet after every session so it still looks like it was built just yesterday.

I also drew a picture of it to get an idea for the color scheme because the builder & I were curious about my design and wanted a visual.

I would of posted a personal pic but it wouldn't let me imbed it.

to put pics on here you have to upload to photobucket and link it over with the tags.

i realllly don't think you will find anything that will look good next to that. certainly nothing close enough to match.

There is afterburner cabs from Orlando,Fl

Emperor cabs still makes them, but you need to call them, their web site is down
www.emperorcabs.com/down.html

Your best bet is have someone custom make it. I'd look at a local cabinet maker personally, but with all the wood varieties, it will not be cheap.

That's going to be near-impossible to match; there will always be some dissimilarities.

But a really good custom cabinet maker would be my go-to. There's no reason to hunt down a company that specifically does music gear; there's really nothing special about a 4x12 that can't be duplicated by a good carpenter.

Exactly
An most cabinet makers are far better carpenters than most guitar cabinet makers. They also have access to far better suppliers of custom woods

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Well; Mesa used to offer fancy hardwood cabinets, but they may have stopped that a long time ago. I think they reserve it for their combo amplifiers.

A company called "J Design" still offers them, I believe:

I do not know anyone who has one, though.

Aftershock also still offers them, but I suspect that they are definitely not inexpensive:

Oh, and there is, of course, Verellen Amplifiers:

I forgot about Verellen but the other ones I wasn't aware of.

From the looks of what people are saying - getting someone local to do it looks like the best bet. I was talking to a guy that lived 2 towns over (so 35ish minutes away) last year but I backed out and got PA's for voice... which I regret now in hindsight.

He made blueprints and everything, maybe I should give him a shout and see if he'd be interested in my new revised ideas - http://www.guitarart.ca/index.php/guitarart-speaker-cabinets/8-guitarart-speaker-cabinets/10-cabinets-sold

Hell, one of the main reasons I went with Olde Crow (besides them looking and sounding awesome) was that the guy (Josh) that built them lived 5 minutes away from my house so it was the obvious choice, a no contest really. Too bad he lost his heart for his craft, I really liked his style and was looking forward to getting more cabs built.

Just speaking from a business owner stand point. If you had me make you blueprints and then decided at the end to cancel your order, I'd make you pay in full at the beginning of the build if you ever wanted that cab again. And if he no longer has the print, I'd also charge you for making another one.

When I said "Blueprint" I meant one sketch done on the computer, nothing fancy. I thought it was interesting but it wasn't quite what I wanted and even more so now that my mind has changed (the idea I had was flawed) so that sketch is useless now.

I also was completely upfront with the guy about how I was debating investing in something else (PA's) and I let him know multiple times that I might/probably go that direction so it wasn't like I flaked-out at the last second.

But I definitely wouldn't call him back if I wasn't all in and ready to go as soon as the idea was finalized...
