Hi,

Looking at getting one of these.

Really like the AX40D but not sure about the extra cash just for the Dimarzio pups.

Ax4 sub looks good, anyone got one if so what's it like?

Cheers

for a budget guitar they are pretty decent. don't own one but have tried them out more than once. Sterling guitars are one of the better import brands for sure. the DiMarzios are worth the extra cash.

gravyYelp I would get the AX4 Sub and replace the pickups if you don't like them. You can get a pair of great humbuckers for easily under $300. You'll save money and decide which pickups you want to buy. You might find a pair you like better than the DiMarzio's. The extra $300-400 for the same guitar with just different pickups is crazy. I can see a $150 -200 difference MAX.

there IS a difference though, not just pickups.
