I have a Jay Turser JJ45FCET-RSB acoustic guitar with a built in pickup. When plugged into an amp I'm not getting any sound, and I'm stumped as to why. Here are the things I've tried:
  • replaced battery
  • checked amp and cable with another guitar
  • ensured volume knobs are not at zero
  • Made sure preamp and amp are powered on
  • made sure all connections are solid
  • tested output jack and cable from preamp with multimeter.

The built in tuner works so that makes me believe the pickup is working. Any ideas?

i don't know how to help, but you would likely get better results in the acoustic sub forum.

you did the things i would have done as far as obvious troubleshooting. good luck
