Ok Guys, I need help remembering a game I played when I was little.

I don't have much to go on and it is driving me absolutely insane.

What I can remember: It was a educational game of sorts, and literally the only thing that stands out is being in an area with a some type of word puzzle and a character who was instructing me had a voice that sounded almost exactly like Vincent Price. I feel like the whole section of the game took place underground as well.

I know that's not much but you never know what you guys can come up with.

Thanks!

EDIT: Sorry, It was from the 90's and I played it on either Win95 or Win98.

"Sam Street"

Pish. Kind of narcissistic if you ask me. Especially for a guy who doesn't even have the self respect to get properly dressed. Dress for the job you want, Samuel, not nap time!

I was actually trying to remember the name of Treasure Mountain not too long ago. Good shit

What was the one that was like Treasure Mountain but you had to like build a car and race it at the end? I remember you could get different body shapes, wheel bearings, etc.

I only remember playing Spy Fox, Sky Roads, Treasure Mountain and Chip's Challenge.

And, at an awkward point in my life, Lego Island.

Yeh, I had that one. Good stuff, but the best one of theirs was Operation Neptune.

Not TLC but Math Blaster and Math Munchers deserve respective mention.

Did nobody else play Sky Roads?

I was trying to remember the name of it for a long while and only looked it up so I can say it here.

Ahem, I believe you mean Myst.

Minesweeper isn't very difficult in concept. Sometimes it just comes down to dumb luck like that pic illustrates.

What was that game where you ski and have to avoid like yeti?

Also what was that game where you were like a boy in overalls and you had to do some arranging puzzle type of building shit.

I just found the shit out of that shit

But this was my favorite game ever:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jones_in_the_Fast_Lane

Jones in the Fast Lane is a life simulation game developed and published by Sierra Entertainment in 1990. The objective of the game is to attain certain amounts of money, happiness, status, and education.[1] The exact amounts needed are defined by the player(s) when the game begins. The game's name and goals are a play on the concept of keeping up with the Joneses.

This thread happens every once in a while and I love it every time.

This picture makes me cringe just looking at it. I can imagine the anxiety of having to choose that last one and then the sense of defeat. I used to solve the beginner one in under 10 seconds every time and would occasionally get like 4 seconds. I was pretty fast at the intermediate and expert ones too.

I also used to get crazy high scores on that space cadet 3D pinball once i figured out there were like different ranks and specific things that you had to hit to make it do certain things.

Chips Challenge was fucking awesome. I remember the last few levels being insanely difficult.

Anybody else play Outlaws?

I just had like a demo when I was a kid and could only play the first level, but I played it over and over again. That was like my first fps game. A few years ago I remembered it and downloaded the full version. So much nostalgia, but the narrow FOV and graphics in general gave me a headache and I stopped after beating a few levels, but the gameplay was still fun. Nothing beats lighting a stick of dynamite with a cigar.

I'd forgotten about 3D Ultra Minigolf until someone up there mentioned putt putt. It was kinda hard to find since I couldn't remember the name and then there was another newer game with the same title that kept coming up. You had no control over the camera angles and I'd end up getting lost and just putting the ball around to explore the area and eventually find the hole until after a while I finally learned all the maps.

Also, mathblaster, F-15, Caesar II, Midtown Madness. The oldest pc game I've played is Zork, but it was when I was a little older and saw a reference to it in another game that led me to finding out about it and playing it.

Encarta?

Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise
