Going off of nothing but what you've given Id say the Charvel but I'm not up on their models that well. If you like the pink alright I'd imagine it's a good guitar. Can you play it first?

You can always have it painted.

May I ask why these two guitars are your only choices if you know little about them?

I would guess the Charvel is better quality.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

You have a few options with that Pink Charvel:

1. Break out the leather pants and hairspray.
2. Slap a Hello Kitty sticker on it.
3. Who cares what color it is, just rock it out and no one will care.
Guitars:
Jackson Kelly KE3 - MIJ (Distortion/Jazz)
Jackson DKMGT Dinky (EMG 81/85)
ESP E-II Eclipse Custom (JB/'59)
ESP LTD EC-1001FR (EMG 81/60)
Fender MIM Strat

Amps:
Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier Roadster 212
Laney IronHeart IRT-Studio
Peavey Vypyr 30
Peavey ReValver Amp Sims
TOOOO many T.C. Electronic Pedals. . .

Or go full-punk and sticker up the whole thing.

Regardless, if these are your options it's the Charvel to go for.

Well I meant more can you try it out before you buy it. In any case if everyone else is confirming the quality, then the Charvel would be my choice.

IMO, if you`re after a quality instrument, then Charvel is the way to go. 1980`s U.S. built guitar should be a superior choice. I also like a position of the neck pickup, it makes sense to me. I assume you want to shred, so pick a Charvel, I would do it anyway. The rest is up to you. Best!
