Can I run a Bassman 100T through my JCM900's speakers? I know it is possible, but I need to be cautious.

There is a impedance button that lets me switch from 4 to 8 on the JCM900 combo.

i could be wrong (i'm not familiar with the jcm900) but there's a fair chance the impedance switch on the jcm900 is to let you run it with an external speaker cabinet, rather than to do anything to the jcm900's speakers' impedance. At least, that's normally what happens with combos.

what impedance can you run the bassman at? and what impedance is the jcm900 normally run at? what speakers are in the jcm900 and what is their impedance?
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

The JCM900 will have two 16 ohm G12T75's wired in parallel for 8 ohms. So if you run your Bassman directly to those speakers, you select 8 ohms on the Bassman.

Thank you so much. However, did you look at the back of the Bassman? Speaker impedance is from 20 (?) to 80 (?) or at least it is how I see it. Can you look at it?

No you must be misreading something, it's 2, 4 or 8 ohms.
I'm just a kickin' and a gougin' in the mud and the blood and the beer.

It will be saying 2 Ohm (ie. an omega rather than a 0)

I'd honestly fap to anything with a set of genitals as long as I find it aesthetically appealing.
