Funny, this is what I initially thought!

I bought one of these for $15 because the felt pad that presses the switch was worn. . . Fixed it with a dime and some hot glue, readjusted the switch height. . . .

But what's wrong with it? It's a pretty simple circuit assuming you're talking about a GCB-95. Parts are cheap for it on eBay.

I dont have any sound at all coming from it. I got it for free so it would be fun to fix.

Probably the input or output jacks are bad, easy fix and cheap also

I'd start here - http://stinkfoot.se/archives/tag/crybaby

You'll need to trace things out with a multimeter to figure out the failure.

Hell, I'd try contact cleaner in the input and output jacks first (spray on a cable then insert and remove several times - don't actually spray it into the jack) and also on battery and wall power.

I just thought of another use (but mine's not broken)!! A top corner was leaning against some other stuff.

Frankenstein it! I got a crybaby for $10, added an LED did some tone mods, true bypass and have plans to change the inductor and paint it. Have some fun with it, they should be fairly easy to fix. It's probably just one of the jacks.

I've had three dead crybabys on the bench in the past couple of months, all have been dead transistors.
