Hello!
Me and some friends have recently started a band. We are aspiring to write our own material but until we fully interact with each others playing we have decided to do covers.
Most of us have years of experience with our designated instrument, however interaction is a problem. We are therefore looking for some fairly easy songs to do covers on!
Which songs are the best to cover in your opinion?
Cheers!
Ps. lead and rhythm guitars is a huge +!

Nothing easier than the Blitzkrieg Bop! 4 easy power chords, song sounds cool as hell. I'd also recommend Green Day....mostly 3 or 4 power chord songs. Punk is very forgiving (and so is Green Day!).

Turn on your local classic rock radio station. Write down the first 10 songs you hear. If the song is too hard, switch to the next one. Repeat. Easy way to build a set list up.

also, Chopin's polonaise in Ab major.

EDIT: seriously though, a version of louie louie is good for getting a group's timing on point.
