Hi there guys,

okay so i go to my local where every tuesday night there is an acoustic jam night/Karaoke (they call it Jameoke) and the guy who's running it has been very incompetent with how he runs things, to cut the long story short he's gonna be getting the sack and they want me to run it from next tuesday.

So here's the thing i have been playing guitar for roughly 10 years and bass guitar for about 5. i'm not the most technical musician i tend to stick solo's to the bass and am a rhythm guitarist. My only worry is what songs to have ready to play when i get up there to run the night.

I know of a fair deal of songs but i doubt it would run throughout the night if need be, has anyone got any suggestions?

Also there is a Possibility of the venue purchasing a drum kit for the jam nights, would this be ideal or would a cajon drum box work just as well?

sorry if the message is a bit unclear, its 4am and i'm still buzzing from the news

thanks in advance

Play old 60's songs that everyone knows, tell people how the song goes if they're struggling and remember to actually play in time.

I completely agree with that! i'm gonna speak to the venue about changing the name is at just doesn't sound professional at all.
