Hey

this is my first post on this forum and Im about to buy myself a new bass, my first Fender bass.

The seller says its a MIJ Fender Precision from the 90s. The color is Capri Orange and its got a rosewood fretboard.

He sent me a couple of pictures, theyre below. One of those pictures of the serial number on the neck, P033112 which then means its from 93/94.

Does it look like a genuine fender to experienced eyes? I wouldnt want to be duped.

Thanks.

Comparing it with other Japanese basses from this era (like this one), I would say it's real.

And Capri Orange (awesome color btw) seems to be from that long ago.

You can tell if it's eager, because you put your hand down her pants and it feels like a horse eating oats.

go post over at the talk bass forum. somebody over there will probably be able to tell you how many people were late for work the day your bass was built and what lumberyard the wood was from.
