Hey everybody,
So here's the deal; I have a Orange Crush 20 watt ldx that I just blew. I had been playing for about 2 and a half hours, and I had it cranked up pretty loud, and the sound just gave out. The lights and everything still turn on, and there was no smell or smoke. I am an amp novice and I have a bunch of questions:
1. Why did my amp die?
2. Is it fixable? and if so, how would I go about doing so?
3. What should I look for in a new amp to avoid this in the future. (Watts...etc)
4. New amp recommendations
5. Anything else I should know about amplifiers.
Any and all info is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Blown fuse, blown amp, or blown speaker? Try plugging in a different speaker and see if she works. Check online for a schematic and see if there is an internal fuse blown. Process of elimination.
"Your sound is in your hands as much as anything. It's the way you pick, and the way you hold the guitar, more than it is the amp or the guitar you use." -- Stevie Ray Vaughan

"Anybody can play. The note is only 20 percent. The attitude of the motherfucker who plays it is 80 percent." -- Miles Davis
