What's the market for a used Jackson DKMG look like for you? Much better guitar and just make sure they have the 81/85 and not the EMGHZs if you want active pickups.
Guitars:
Ibanez RG1570 Prestige
Jackson Kelly KE3 - MIJ (Distortion/Jazz)
Jackson DKMGT Dinky (EMG 81/85)
ESP E-II Eclipse Custom (JB/'59)
ESP LTD EC-1001FR (EMG 81/60)
Fender MIM Strat

Amps:
Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier Roadster 212
Laney IronHeart IRT-Studio
Peavey Vypyr 30
Peavey ReValver Amp Sims
TOOOO many T.C. Electronic Pedals. . .

I think it's pretty apparent OP is after a V.

Imo ditch the licensed Floyds, and yeah going used is always a good shout too to get the best for the money.

I'm looking to buy a cheap new guitar and I am putting EMGs in this one. Which guitar would be better for speed and also which is better quality? (Both have licenced floyd roses) Thanks

if you haven't bought your upgrades yet, why not spring for this one:

imo, neck thrus seem to hold on to picky low action setups for a bit longer.

So they are. My bad!

Used KVXMG then. By the time you but the new JS32 and then buy new EMG 81/85 and I'm guessing have someone else install them it's a way better deal to just get the KVXMG Used to begin with, plus it's a better quality guitar.

The JS series are crap. They need too much money being put into them for them to be quarter way decent.

You get what you pay for with Floyds. If you spend no money, expect to get crap. There are a couple of things you can skimp on a guitar and get away with it, but Floyds are not one of them.

Get at least an X series if you want a Jackson V. Or better still, a Pro.

Agreed. I played a JS for like 15 minutes thinking "Well maybe I'll upgrade it..." and it was HORRID. Sticky neck, cheap feel, pickups didn't push the amp I was using at all...Basically go used. And yes. The pro series is fantastic.

Yes, and people still got polio and you had to crank your car up by hand and put whale oil in the lamps every night.

Things are better now.
