So I have a 4 page research paper in intro to western civ class (I've been told this is an easy class, so far it is) but I am at a loss for my research paper. I just need a few ideas from the loving Pit.

You could write about the effect of Gutenberg's printing press on Europe. That's kind of a big deal in Western civilization. And probably really easy to find references for.

industrial revolution

basically it made it possible to not die at 34 and do things like eliminate smallpox

if it needs to have comparisons in various times, leo davinci would be an appropriate figure to mention, not to mention a further understanding of basic stuff like gravity works by why do things fall the same reagrdless of mass (without air friction whatever). pythag theorum. astronomy, calculus, etc.

tbh a paper that addresses both of these as significantly way out there and provides such a noticeable boost. took like thousands of years to learn how to make fire and like a person who works out how triangles make sense. this is a "sitting on toillet, legit revolutionary thought, it is worth standing up, leavining without drawing up the pants, maybe crap is falling off you as you go, do some embaracing public nudity grossfest,

all that, just to find a pencil so he could write down the idea before he would forget had he finished his sit down algebra-puzzle-binge time.

literally surprising no one, pretty much the most significant times in history is when you devise the ability to explore outside. on an island, things just kinda happen, then a guy makes a boat and voilla or whtaver. oppens up hugely important paths or societal and tech invention stuff

Imagine a world where all research papers where about any topic related to Western Civ and it only had to be four pages.

Yeah what the hell, 4 pages. Pls take my 12-18 page space policy research paper and I'll take your 4 page middle school essay

I honestly don't know how someone could be at a loss given a prompt to write a four page research paper about Western Civ. You could write about a billion topics.

I see TS is carrying the time honored, long held tradition of asking The Pit about what to write given the easiest, most open prompt assignments I've ever seen. Not even since middle school have I seen some of the automatic A questions being asked at whichever college OP's going to...

...modes and scales are still useless.

This isn't how you get The Pit to write a paper for you.

Trust me, The Pit has written plenty of papers for me.

Unless you've had to write papers on how to be an unfunny arsehole, I've done no work for you.

or, y'know, war

wars always have effects that are lasting regardless of small incidences (butterfly effect style), but there isnt a war that has the same revolutionary impact.

ex: levelling up squirtle is good. each level gives a bit of exp, and you can ev level stat thing to make it more ideal to how you want it, but evolving to wartortle is a much larger impact in a single moment

Okay, I narrowed it down to a few topics: the earliest animals to be domesticated (pretty sure it's a dog, goat and a cow; that's just a guess fellas), the earliest use of animals in warfare, and how monuments were constructed

Rank them and shit, so I can use one now, another in October and the last in November

1. Earliest use of domesticated animals for sex
2. Your first use of the above
3. Your most recent use of the above

The long term potential effects of the rise of mass media (Radio, Television, Internet etc. ) and the attendant decline of contemplative thought, measured response and critical thinking.

Or, y'know, dog goat cow, I'm sure that's good too...
