But this was last year..

Yeah, but you said "start." We've already started.

I really don't mind. I'll do this again later because my taste changes really often.

Regardless of taste, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is objectively the best album ever made.

You'd probably like MBV though, like Loveless and suchlike.

This thread has been done but I like it anyway.

I never gave Loveless a second chance. Seemed like it was one song over and over again. I didn't understand the praise it gets.

That's a fair shout, it's definitely not an album I could listen through while not doing anything else.

Maybe some Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds or The Birthday Party? I mean you may already be into them or you may already not like them but obviously the Bad Seeds have Blixa from Neubauten and you could probably argue that The Birthday Party shares more with Neubauten in terms of ethos (less in terms of actual music) even though Blixa was never a member.

I'll try to listen to that again anyway. It might do something for me now.
Also I like the Bad Seeds (mostly due to Blixa), but I never really sat down and seriously listen to them.

Thanks for recommending though

I just tried to listen to the whole thing and got tired at 38 minutes.
Again it was like Cocteau Twins with quieter and muddier reverbed vocals and an awful amount of distorted guitars (but lacking the awesome quality of Cocteau Twins).

Its even more baffling when you take in the fact that iirc it took a fortune to make
