Hi!

I am fearly new in this forum. So I got the following setup (in this order):

- Bugera Infimum v55 Amp
- MXR Distortion 3
- Big Muff
- Fender Squier Jazzmaster

My problem is that when I turn on the Big Muff (with the mxr already turned on) I get a pretty loud buzz from the amp without touching any strings. I run the amp in clean mode. Any suggestions?

Cheers

It may be a grounding problem, it may be that your pedals don't play well with each other, it may be that your settings aren't appropriate, etc etc...

You've not provided nearly enough information for a reasonable diagnosis.

What information should I further provide? What do you mean with grounding?

Your guitar may not be well-grounded/shielded and is picking up hum from interference sources nearby, which your pedals are amplifying.

What settings are you running your pedals at? How long are your cords? Are their any known interference sources in the room? (Fluorescent lights, switching power supplies (computer) etc.)

Does it happen without the MXR in the signal chain?

More information is always better.
