So I know buzzing is a common problem, as I've been researching it for days now, but I haven't been able to find a post that exactly explained my problem. I recently installed two new humbuckers in my Ibanez, and after completely rewiring it four times I'm still getting noise. It's not a constant noise, but one of those where it goes away when you turn the guitar a certain way. I would consider EMI but it started buzzing after I installed the pickups and was completely fine before with the same setup. There are a couple concerns that I had with the way I wired it, and I'll post a picture of the diagram I used. My humbuckers have 5 wires. Green and bare to ground, red to hot, but the white and black don't work if just wired to together like a lot of other diagrams suggest, they have to be wired to the "white" spot to the switch labeled on the diagram to get any sound. The other thing is that I was having a hard time wiring the grounds to the volume pots because you have to heat the entire pot to melt the solder. So what I've done on my 4th rewiring is wire them all together. Sorry I don't want this to be too long because I would like to have some suggestions. Don't want to have to take it to a shop. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
