haha. i am not the most social person really, i am just comfortable in some areas in public. you stick me in a room with a dozen people i don't know, and nobody i do know, i withdraw. i am good with a few people i don't know, and/or have friends.

both those are creepy as fuck especially if youve only just met them

i call them by their name, or avoid doing so whatsoever.

she said 'I AIN'T YOUR SWEETHEART' haha.

It's called setting up boundaries, and she wastes no time in doing it apparently.

i usually call them their names... but im an alcoholic... so i suppose not everyone would know their servers by name...

Kolegica which means colleague, a word used in university education a lot. In rare cases I also use tovarišica which means comrade. I'm not sure if calling friends very formally for the banter and to express camaraderie is a cultural thing or not.

But that's just with friends, if I don't know a girl well I'll call her by her name or not at all.

I came here expecting this for some reason, misread the title:

Women...people are often way too sensitive about how you refer to them. I called a woman "dear" one time and it ended badly. Called a woman "Ma'am" on the bus, trying to be polite and offering her a seat and she got pissy cos "Ma'am" supposedly implies that she's old...

I call everyone sweetie at some point.

Even more so when inebriated.

I'd call a girl by her name after a few drinks. I don't believe in using terms of endearment or whatever. Apart from maybe as a joke. And I absolutely wouldn't use such terms to anyone serving behind the bar.
I have nothing important to say

As someone who has worked with a ton of waitresses and female bartenders, stop. they don't like that shit. unless you can be genuinely charming and funny without making it awkward, just leave them alone while they are working.

I know the names of the bartenders where I drink because I or my mother have worked with them and I know them.

you sexist pig . honey is a big one for me. being an old fart makes it easier to get away with this kind of thing. back in the old not to pc to have fun days this was pretty common and not really thought of as bad or not normal. older waitresses in the local diner will still call you sweetie etc when taking your order, so what no big deal.

Since she works in a bar youd think shed be used to that
But i never call them anything, not even their name since i don't know it, i just say "hey" to get their attention.
Yeah i don't go to bars that much.
However when i get too drunk and am flirting with a girl i do know ill start calling her "elskan" a lot, which basically means Love, but i've never met a girl who found it weird (probably because i only do it when i know shes interested back)

haha. i am probably guilty of 'honey' too. i am younger than you though, i am not too many years off of 30, but it still flies most of the time. i do it rather smoothly.

I usually call everyone "mate" or "knackers" when I'm inebriated, regardless of gender

EDIT: Middle age ladies (sober or not) calling me "Love", "darl" or "sweetheart" makes me want to vomit
Come back if you want to
