When I went to replenish my stock of Belgian beer I got one of these for every 12 bottles of Duvel I bought!

That stuff is overpriced, but basically p good from what I remember.

Gulden Draak is superior.

Post in the beer/alcohol thread, if it's still open.

"Overpriced" if Miller lite and co. are what you´re used to!

Gulden Draak is OK, but there are a few dozen Belgian beers I prefer.

We have import tax here, whereas Lagavulin or in a pinch Laphroaig cost about £5.50 a single with much less a charge.

OK then.

Booze is cheap here in Germany and I live just an hour away from the Belgian border.

So, basicly, beer heaven.

I think 20 cL bottles of beer are the work of the devil and an abomination. With that being said, I'll still gladly drink them if they're free.

Also I've tried a few very good Belgian beers plus Gary loves them and I trust his expertise.

I'm sorry m8 but if it feels like I'm drinking juice or a fancy cocktail the beer sucks. Bitterness is where it's at with beer.

Thickness is where it's at with beers, actually. And gravy. And cocks.

Yeah I like thickness but lager is the dominant beer here so I don't get much of it. I've recently been drinking a lot of Kozel temny, it's not very thick obviously but I'm liking it a lot.

Everybody knows that belgium is basically just a beer brewery on the border between France and the Netherlands.

That said, it's the best brewery in the world and everyone should taste a true belgian special beer at least once in their life to realise that all the other beer is actually just piss in a bottle.

Chimmay Blau is best Belgian beer.

Chimay Blau is good but too sweet for my taste.

My favorite is Kasteel Triple Blond.

Duvel's all I've been drinking when I buy expensive stuff for like the last couple months. So, cheers.

Prior to that though I was all crazy for delirium tremens. So good.

So it was a 'buy 12, get one free' thing?

A free mini-bottle 4-pack. In Belgium you often get freebies with your beer. I have the right glass for almost every one of my favorite Belgian beers and got them all for free. But, you only need so many glasses.
