the word fuck or fucking? Like, in a self-censoring kind of way?

Sometimes I catch myself doing it and I'm just like "why did I do that?"

The concept of naughty words is something I've never been able to grasp.
Why saying "fuck" is bad but saying "have sex" is ok.

Whyyyy??? They mean the exact same thing!! I don't get it!!!'

No but I've gotten really really good at cutting the volume on swears

like when they silence swears on TV instead of bleeping them

I can do that almost without thinking about it

I hate censorship, but having words that are more forceful and less socially acceptable provides greater depth to simple uses of language, so you can be more blunt/candid without having to be more eloquent.

It's pretty much ingrained in (UK) society to think that they are inherently bad, taboo words, which I think is silly.

Only in saafff eeest ingurlund mayt.

Come to Scotland, 'fuck' is how we pronounce commas. And full stops. And apostrophes. Any punctuation, really.

I say "ish" when I am making fun of young stoner boys to their face. I'll usually only do it if they are using a bunch of silly jargon, though, and they rarely get it.
