Hi Guys,

Ive just built a custom guitar for my brother and have lowered the tailpiece however now that i have, the strings don't reach the tuning pegs. The neck is 22 fret, does anyone know where i can get custom made guitar strings or have them made? I need them around 2-3 inches longer than standard.

Thanks

Guitar strings are pretty long, that's odd... Tell us the scale length of the guitar.

I agree with the above. On any of my guitars I am cutting off a good five to six inches of excess string after I restring any of my guitars. What makes yours need strings so long? Even on my Les Paul with a Bigsby b7 that takes the ball end several inches back from the old stop tail piece, I still have quite a bit extra.
Yes I am guitarded also, nice to meet you.

fwiw, the first step of guitar building is to set the scale length.
