My brother does, and I'll watch it if he's watching but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it
dirtbag ballet by the bins down the alley
as i walk through the chalet of the shadow of death
everything that you've come to expect

No but I used to (god knows why cause it's pretty boring when I watch now).
My in-laws do though, they watch the whole fucking world championships and shit
#5
if it's on i might chill for half an hour. idk i think there's something about the snooker player that is beautiful because the only major difference between me and him is how he sees a table.

edit: tryna think of other games where there's a similar deal. poker's kind of sullied by the money. bowls is too posh. golf is too technical/posh

Never watched it, doubt I ever will

Darts is another tedious "sport" or game or whatever you call it that gets a concerningly large amount of TV time
I have nothing important to say

I had to look up what snooker is. Who the hell calls pool/billiards "snooker"? Is that a european thing or something?

British thing I believe

and pool is a different game

EDIT: actually, snooker, billiards, pool and many other games are all different

They fall under cue sports it appears

Never seen the appeal in watching it but I play it occasionally.

Prefer pool though because whenever I play cue sports I'm normally inebriated and fuck doing maths when you're pissed right?
#27
yeah but I cba watching it much any more.

used to be really into it a few years ago but I only have it on as background noise these days.

seems to be a thing with me where I'll really get into watching a sport then just lose interest and only make an effort to watch the big events. like with rugby I barely watched any of the world cup this year, despite last time needing to see every game (I was out of the country at the time too, I remember getting up early at the place I was staying to watch the 2011 final).
O.K.

I saw the thread's title and resolved never to open it, but eventually I did and I deeply regret it. Such an underwhelming sport.

No one. Snooker is a different game.

It's too complex for Americans to learn. They can only learn pool.
#31
Yep, I watch and play. I'm terrible, but I still enjoy it. Managed a 31 break once, and never came close to matching it again!

I managed 31 in a frame once. I think.

It's meant to be played while drinking so why make it difficult to learn?

It's not too complex for anyone to learn if Europeans can learn it.

Snooker uses a longer table. Can't cram as many into poolhalls as you can regulation sized pool tables. THAT is why snooker is unpopular in the USA.

It's fun watching those dart competitions on TV. We rarely see them in the USA, but I understand it's big over in Europe. Fun stuff, I could really get into it.

it's more fun to play than watch
