What are some morbid / depressing things that you can't help but find interesting?

A lot of people are fascinated by the Holocaust or instance, others enjoy reading about serial killers. I personally enjoy reading about nuclear bombs because they are incredible works of science but some of the most dangerous and terrifying things in existence

also black holes

Not sure if it counts, but I find North Korea absolutely fascinating and I'll rarely not watch a documentary of some kind about it if I see it.
#3
Whether something is morbid or depressing has never really been a factor for me.

Although I'd argue that black holes can't be morbid because they aren't utilized by humans in negative ways. They're just mysterious.
#4
Black holes are mysterious and terrifying and make me feel very small and insignificant also their physics is fascinating

Also watched a documentary on the Jonestown Massacre with my girlfriend a couple of weeks ago. That shit was fucked up.

#7
My misses watches some true crime show in which a former detective goes through some of the more 'memorable' cases of his career.

A lot of it is pretty interesting, one was just so fucked up that I haven't watched one since though.

Because they are black and huge and unknown

So is nothingness, leather, 8-balls, and my sunglasses.

But when we use those things we become cool, not terrifying. Although maybe deeply insecure.

Nope.

Well a black hole is nothingness and nothingness is very scary. And they're just ill understood and an unknown devastating force. Reading about the speculated one in the centre of our galaxy just makes me shudder. It's a completely irrational fear because a black hole will never get us in any of our lifetimes, but you know, a lot of fears are irrational.

Isn't it more like a very compressed lotsofthingsness? Although yeah to be fair I was looking at this too rationally.

I also enjoy reading about nuclear bombs. I studied history at A Level and we looked at the Cold War and I found that period of time very interesting because everyone was building cool planes and nukes and stuff
I have nothing important to say

I like reading on serial killers and cults.

If you were to ever find yourself getting sucked into a black hole, you would be stretched soo incredibly fast that your body would rip apart.

Sounds terrifying to me.

And definitely interesting.

If not black holes, for me, I guess it would be things like destruction from a hurricane or tornado.

Look up The Great Attractor. Though, like black holes, it's nothing we have to actually worry about.

my understanding is that its a very lotsofthingsness that's so dense that it breaks gravity and implodes on itself. I know that its really weird and distorts time, the leading theory is that time is actually frozen in the center of a black hole iirc

I'll ask my mate who does physics if you want he's really smart and knows a lot about this stuff

it doesn't just rip your body apart, it rips it apart at a molecular level once you get close enough
#30
Does that mean the molecules come apart

Yes it does actually because the atomic/nuclear level is a different thing and the energies are much bigger

I should have known that

I've read a lot about them but can never remember a damn thing when it comes to astrophysics. iirc the leading theory is that we just don't know what's at the center / what happens

I like military history so war and true crime kind of things, especially when it's those unsolved murders and stuff like that.

Also not sure if it counts but I just watched a documentary on Netflix called Hot Girls Wanted that followed a group of girls trying to break into the porn industry and shows the kind of emotional and physical stress they go through which was quite confronting.

i think he's a really cool guy, deep, deep down (he can sing and play guitar really well too)

if i ever had the chance to sit down and talk to him, i would.

other than that, i really like horror movies and death metal (cannibal corpse, necrophagist, death, etc)

cannibal corpse

I actually had the chance to meet and talk to the members of CC after a gig they played at Freebird in Jacksonville Beach. They were exceedingly normal and down-to-earth guys, which is always a good thing. No egos. Excitement in the talk about banal choices of what to eat next. A good time overall.

George Fisher suggested my friend to stop smoking cigarettes, lol.
