I'm looking for the words and chords for a song that Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin brothers did way back, it's called " the whole world's gone crazy "
Or even just the lyrics would be great, I can figure the chords out.
Thanks

I searched for this song and on all their albums it doesn't seem to exist... Other artists did it but I can not find it by the gatlin brothers... Are you sure it was done by them....

If it was what album was it on?...

The only artist that I find did this song is Brandon Jenkins
Here are his lyrics to the song by that name...

lol the song does exist... it's on the flip side of the 45 "midnight chior"
I had the 45 until a few years ago, some of the words I remember from the beginning etc
some of the words are:
"the whole worlds gon crazy Catilia" that's the very first line, and another line is ", but anyway, if I find the song I will give you a copy lol
Thanks for trying though
Petey

If I remember right, it was a promo copy I got it when I was a DJ way way back

First off : You have the title wrong.... It's called:
"It's The World's Gone Crazy (Cotillion)"

MAinly done by WAYLON JENNINGS since he wrote the song along with
Shel SIlverstein

GLEN CAMPBELL also did a rendition of it ....

And as you stated so did THE GATLIN BROTHERS....

However, they say the A side was different and done on the RCA label
Larry Gatlin And The Gatlin Brothers Band
A: All The Gold In California
B: It's The World's Gone Crazy (Cotillion), RCA USA, PB- ...

That said then, THE ONE YOU HAVE MUST BE A VERY RARE PROMO

Here are the words to the song:

"It's The World's Gone Crazy (Cotillion)"

It's the world's gone crazy cotillion
The ladies are dancin' alone
Side men all want to be front men
And the front men all want to go home
The johnny-come-lately's are comin' in early
The early bird's showin' up late
The straight men all want to be funny
And the funny men all want to get straight
Villians have turned into heroes
Heroes have turned into heels
The dealers all want to be lovers
And the lovers all want to make deals
It's the world's gone crazy cotillion
The ladies are dancin' alone
Side men all want to be front men
And the front men all want to go home
The meek they ain't inheirited nothin'
The leaders are fallin' behind
So I'm singin' my song to the deaf man
And dancin' my dance to the blind
It's the world's gone crazy cotillion
The ladies are dancin' alone
Side men all want to be front men
And the front men all want to go home
It's the world's gone crazy cotillion
The ladies are dancin' alone
Side men all want to be front men
And the front men all want to go home

The entire song consists of 2 chords ...the C and G .. No other chords to the song at all... Start with the C chord and then goes to a G and then back to a C chord again....

Ok, This is the song, I appreciate the help for sure, Thanks,
And yes it was on the flip side of the 45 of midnight chior, if i remember right, it was a yellowish label stamped promotional copy, { i can still see it in my head lol } and also it was in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Again thanks for your help, I look forward to playing it tonight at a jam session lol

If I still have it and can find it, i can send or post a pic of it, When I moved to another city 4 years ago I had to get rid of most of my records, I posted them online for free but no takers, so they ended up at the dump, however i did save a bunch of promos and collectors records.
