I have a roland micro cube for practice and 90% of what I play is set on a rectifier with a slow release delay. Its exactly the tone I want. It gives me great sustain with a smooth lead tone without grain and the dealy doesn't impact on the attack and just serves to eliminate the roughness. I lothe distorted lead tones with fiz or grain. Now I'm thinking of buying a tube amp around 40 watts for live situations eg, blackstar ht40, and want to recreate the same sound. I thought of buying a roland modelling amp but I want the warmth and natural tones of valves. Ive watched a lot of youtube vids on it and found only ones using vst's.

I'm wondering what is the best approach to achieving the sound?
