The three I am looking at right now are
Schecter C-1 hellraiser FR http://www.zzounds.com/item--SCEC1FRHR
Jackson pro dinky http://www.zzounds.com/item--JAC2914105?siid=175129
or a Ibanez rg655 prestige the thin neck sounds like it's nice to play on http://www.zzounds.com/item--IBARG655

My budget is $1500 the styles I play in are metal and rock but I do enjoy nice clean tones from time to time. My current gear is a line6 pod hd500 a roland PA and a carvin dc127 6 string. This would be my first edge or floyed rose bridge, so I been researching how to do different adjustments and such on it.

I want a floating bridge
I want a thin neck
I want a neck thru
I want floating bridge

Just looking for some opinions and reasons from others on why they would choose one over the other or any totally new suggestions on brand and model to look at with my budget and specs in mind.

Jackson - better distortion tone, very comfortable thin neck
Schecter - better clean tone, good for any genre

I'd go for that Jackson personally. I love their necks and style. Those pickups are gonna give you tons of good tonal options including cleans I'm sure. I've been craving a model extremely close to that one, but it has EMGs. Gonna give you a link to it, though I'm sure you'll want passives for the cleans. (I personally enjoy EMG cleans myself, but I'm weird that way.) Look at this sexy thing.

why is neck thru so important? AANJ's can be just as friendly.

i just posted this on another thread, but anyways, ibanez prestige, jackson, EBMM, or Carvin would be my top picks.

i would advise to go used.

If you want neck thru, or at least not a bolt-on, for Jackson you need to go Soloist.

I'd also suggest the ESP E-II line.
Guitars:
Ibanez RG1570 Prestige
Jackson Kelly KE3 - MIJ (Distortion/Jazz)
Jackson DKMGT Dinky (EMG 81/85)
ESP E-II Eclipse Custom (JB/'59)
ESP LTD EC-1001FR (EMG 81/60)
Fender MIM Strat

Amps:
Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier Roadster 212
Laney IronHeart IRT-Studio
Peavey Vypyr 30
Peavey ReValver Amp Sims
TOOOO many T.C. Electronic Pedals. . .
