I'd go with the regular id series as it has tube emulation so could go for a 6l6 setting and it really gives some nice chugging tones.
the one piece of gear I regret not walking out the shop with and I will get one eventually.fantastic amp

Excactly what nightwalker903 said. Save 50 bucks more and you'll get yourself a really good amp with the ID15:TVP. Handles my 7-string unexpectedly well, even if the speaker seems small. So with that amp you get plenty of greatsounding gain, the tube emulation is great (turn it off and you'll see what I mean) and you can downtune the hell out of your guitar no problem.
