When I was 15 and posting them on Myspace it was cool, but now it's just like writing passive aggressive statuses.
The only thing in recent years I ever posted was this, because it's two of my favourite things combined
Come back if you want to
And remember who you are
‘Cause there's nothing here for you my dear
And everything must pass

It's not like there's this burden that anyone has that anything they post on facebook has to be poignant; because let's face it, the majority of one's thoughts aren't poignant in any way and that's ok.

Besides it's not like I'd want either of you posting Fade To Black lyrics on my feed anyway

No, but I don't really have anything against it

You lost me at "Lubricate."

I'm raw, like nature. Nature boy. Big jungle leaves are my cum rags.

Sometimes I fuck a bamboo shoot.

There's nothing left here to be saved
Just barreling dogs and barking trains
Another year lost to the blue line

So why is it that on FB but not on twitter?

How is there any difference between posting lyrics on FB and Twitter

Like the intention is the exact same

I like it when you post first line of a song and people continue and it turns into a lyric chain.

So satisfying.

Because I tweet several times a day

But a Facebook status is a like once a month thing

Yeah this. It's only cool when it's a cheesy 80s song everyone knows the words to.

If a song has lyrics I think everyone should hear I just post a link to it on YouTube so my friends can ignore my taste in music more thoroughly.

tbf all fb statuses are attention seeking

On topic though the last time I posted lyrics on fb I was 17 (I believe it was the chorus from Suicide Season). So my advice is unless you're in high school you shouldn't do it.

Which is why the vast majority of my fb posts(yes, I regard them as posts, not a status, no matter what the site calls them) are things that I want specific people to look at, and can't be arsed putting the link in a what's app message or something.

Anyway, back on topic:

The only song lyrics you should post on FB are offensive/ridiculous ones, to just piss people off
I have nothing important to say
