I like the metal bands of yore with singers that would actually sing stuff.
You know the usual: Rainbow, Mr Big, Sabbath, Iron Maiden.

I'm sure it must be out their today but it seems like I can't even listen to metal these days without someone screeching over it.

Not a rant or trolling I'm seriously not sure where to look

Disturbed have a good, melodic singer (especially their later albums). Some Avenged Sevenfold and Five Finger Death Punch is clean and some of it isn't. As mentioned earlier, basically all power metal (like Haloween or Dragonforce) is clean. Saying that power metal has a considerably more different sound to the bands you listed compared to the three I just mentioned.

I agree with the above lists. Iced Earth is a big one, Actually, i like most of VampireGoldfish's list.

I would also add classic and newer Anthrax, with Joey Belladonna on vocals. Spreading the Disease especially and their newest one, Worship Music.

Voyager.

“We’re built of contradictions, all of us. It’s those opposing forces that give us strength, like an arch, each block pressing the next. Give me a man whose parts are all aligned in agreement and I’ll show you madness. We walk a narrow path, insanity to each side. A man without contradictions to balance him will soon veer off.”

Power, Symphonic, Gothic, Doom.
If you want more clean vocals get out of the grindcore and death metal genre, it exists there but not nearly as much as you are wanting.

(Yob has some very different vocals, parts are auto tuned it sounds like, I think its pretty cool.)

(This band has the main guitarist/vocalist from the band "Death", Chuck Schuldiner is a legendary guitarist, he's written some really good songs, this band has more traditional style vocals, some really cool stuff.
I recommend going on to youtube and searching up different doom metal bands, a good majority have clean vocals, even some sludge metal bands too.
SANDBLAST YOURSELF.

Thought I should mention Evile, a modern thrash metal band from Britain. It's not quite like Iron Maiden or anything but the vocals are good. Not screamo.

I'm assuming you've heard of Megadeth and Anthrax.

Ghost Town by Charred Walls of the Damned

Has Tim Owens (who sang with Judas Preist for a little after Rob left) and Richard Christy (drummer from TSOP by Death). Jason Suecoff (producer) does guitars and Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, Death, a million others) on the fretless bass. Gewd stuffs

Disturbed? Go back to the MLP threads... Avenged Sevenfold? Isn't there a kids bebop version of one of their songs?

I'm curious why more of you don't talk about Lost Horizon. Daniel Heiman is a fucking god.

Deftones and A Perfect Circle are sick alt metal groups. At least I think so.

Chino and Maynard have amazing voices.

I can definetely recommend Godsmack for some heavy, yet melodious singing.
The newer Mastodon albums have the Brann (the drummer) singing more and he has a kickass voice.

Godsmack and Mastodon Respect earned right there. I actually met Godsmack through my sister working at a laundromat in Vegas, for my 18th birthday

No lol the bassist actually gave me his clean t-shirt...and yes, it really was clean because sis got done with the laundry and they were dried out. I still wear it around regularly because the bassist is my skinny, tall size, just about heh I also have a signed guitar pick from Dusty and signature and picture from Billy of ZZ Top, too :P Same day, same laundromat. No joke.

I got music stories to tell my future children and grandchildren
