hi guys
I've been looking for a good solution to play guitar (metal) at home with headphones, used the Behringer V-Amp 3 for some time but I am looking to get a better tone. Since i don't really play live anymore, i thought the E530 is a good Preamp to be used with headphones cause i'm not in need for an expensive Power Amp to play at louder volumes and i wont need a dummy load for the inbuilt power amp of a more expensive Engl head.
Am i right with that?
Does anyone have experience with the Engl E530, especially its headphone output quality?
And do i need an external cab simulator to get a good sound from it, if so, which (not that expensive) simulators should i consider buying?
Would be awesome if someone could help me out
