Hello all,

I was wondering if I could have two different amps hooked up to the connections on the back, if I only have 1 amp on at a time.
So basicly, are bith the input connection on the orange cab the same (16 ohm)?

unless it says it is stereo or has a switch then it is a mono cab and you only use one amp at a time or you will ruin the amps.

Now you can rewire the cab to be stereo and have 2x 8ohm inputs

Like I said, I just want both amps to be plugged in, but only one running at a time.
My question is - are both the inputs the same?

You can not do that, you will ruin your amps. You can only have one amp at a time connected to that cab unless you invest in a radial headbone which is $200+. Those inputs are parallel so they do the same function.

The answer is yes.

The caution is, if you turn on the second amp while the first is still running, you'll let the smoke out of one or both of the heads.

The Headbone is the smart play here, and the obvious cure for the *almost* inevitable idiot "oops."

dspell: But if I dont fuck up, it would be fine?

What is so hard about plugging and unplugging a 1/4" jack that it is worth fucking your amps up? Your really not that lazy are you?

If you insist on having both amps plugged into the cab then how about something like this:

http://avatarspeakers.com/product/guitar-input/

You just plug in whatever you want and it figures it out. Note that with 2 amps plugged in you will end up using just 2 speakers per amp. That's what a 3dB drop?
