Been looking for a replacement bridge for my US Strat, and came across this. I've replaced the rest of the hardware with black, so I'm going to a black bridge as well.

Seems maybe too good to be true for the price - anyone with any experience here? I could just go Babicz, but I like that this one isn't as bulky.

Thanks.

I have used GFS parts and pickups before, if your looking for a low cost solution, that bridge should be just fine. Yes you can get better trems, but your going to be paying much more.

I did a whole SG copy pretty much exclusively with GFS parts. Fixed wraparound bridge, tuning pegs, electronics, etc. Even body and neck. Only the pickups and strap buttons were purchased elsewhere.
Like Robbgnarly says, you can probably find better, but not for that price. Their stuff is very solid.

on a guitar that expensive i wouldn't bother with ok quality parts. Go big or go home sort of thing.

three that come to mind
a schaller roller bridge - the strings hardly ever break from abuse and re-tuning
Callaham Vintage S - david gilmour made them famous
Super-Vee | BladeRunner strat bridge which may be the first search because of the cool name

I'm curious what kahler has in the two point or 6 bolt tremolo category if there is anything without routing.

noiseless pickups on a strat or putting humbuckers in to me is a must, that and some higher end tuners like schallers (fender has schaller locking tuners out) and a better nut. Copper shielding doesn't hurt either as the components in most usa strats are better than average guitars. Nuts on a strat it's up in the air, grapite, brass or bone, a roller nut with a roller bridge seems kind of silly. But I'd probably go graphtech tusq.

even graphtech saddles can help your strat

the only thing guitar fetish may have that i would recommend is a brass block for the tremolo to add more life to the guitar. Ernie Ball cobalt strings too for more life too. In the end you've got a very common guitar; i mean this in a good way, parts revolve around strats not the other way around like if i wanted a kahler hybrid on a guitar... this is to say that it's a fun adventure, whatever you don't like you can re-sell or use on another strat as the world isn't in short supply of usa strats.

if you dont mind re-dirlling a pickguard
IKNMusic or Axetremecreations.com for some really custom ones or qparts.com for parts

this is my first suggestion. schaller roller bridge.

GFS hardware is decent, but isn't comparable to an MIA strat bridge.

If you're only wanting the bridge to be black you might look into having the chrome stripped and then having it powder coated. I honestly don't know if this is even possible or where you'd look, but I'm willing to bet it is cheaper than a new bridge.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

Thanks for all the responses, it's appreciated.

I'll just go with a Babicz then, or maybe that Schaller posted above. It looks like Babicz has a lower profile trem as well that I hadn't seen before.

As far as other mods, the only things original on the Strat at this point are the neck and body. The rest - pickups, pots, knobs, tuners, pickguard, etc I've replaced and modded, so I'm good on that front. Just looking for opinions on the trem.

Again, thanks for the help
