I picked up a 2012 CS strat a few months back, that seemed like a killer deal (from prices I've been reading online). I got it for less than the cost of a std American. It's a great playing guitar, super clean sounding, and in great shape; but I find that I just don't play it often enough to justify its cost. I'm a LP guy.

So I've been consider selling it to fund other ventures, but I'm not really sure what I should ask for it. I was hoping that you guy's may be able to help me out a little. I would say it's a 9.5/10, condition wise. Keep in mind I'm in Canada. I see prices vary from 2-$4000 CAD, so I'm not really sure where to price it.

Here's the build sheet and pics to help.

Gorgeous guitar. Do you have a certificate of authenticity? If so, $2,000 wouldn't be a problem. Without I'd think closer to $1,650.

I have all the COA, and all the original case candy. I meant to mention that in my first post. If you opened the case, you'd swear if just came from the shop.

Yeah my gut was kinda telling me to ask $2200, to give myself a little dickering room.

depends on exactly what this is. Custom Shop can mean a few different things for fender. knowing what the guitar originally sold for would be a big help. you can get certain "off the rack" CS guitars for not much over $2000 new

It would be a great deal for one of you Americans, with the way our dollar is

Its not a case of too many guitars. I just never seem to play it. Don't get me wrong, its a sick guitar. Probably the cleanest sounding guitar I've ever played. I'm thinking I'm gonna sell it, then pick up another cheaper guitar, and some other toys

There's a guy consider trading me a 06' Alpine white CS Gibson LP. Its in a lot worse shape then mine, but It was probably more expensive to start with. It has some buckle rash on the back, and a yellow stain on the neck where he had it in a shitty rubber stand. I hate the thought of trading a mint guitar, for somethings thats been a little beat up
