Good afternoon every one!
I'm starting to build an Ironbird bass copy.
I went for alder body with mahogony/maple neck-tru neck.
I want to make it a H/H configuration, and was wondering what will be the best active pick-ups, or I should just go with the passive pick-up/ active EQ configuration, since I have couple of EMG HZ , that I don't use.

Thank You

Wait, are you going to build a bass with guitar pickups?

if I were doing this I'd consider a pickup setup from Carvin ( http://www.carvinguitars.com/group/bass_pickups ) and if you wish, add the active preamp setup http://www.carvinguitars.com/products/505SP

OR

look at Bartolinis:

Or do some armbending and negotiating and fixing on this original Ironbird: https://reverb.com/item/1604495-bc-rich-ironbird-83-89-purple-nj-series
