Hello all,

I recently received a second Marshall Valvestate 8080, they sound a little bit different (One has an Eminence EM12-1008PE and the other one a Celestion G12T-75). I also have a Boss GT-8. I always used the 4 cable method on the Celestion one(got it half a year earlier). My question is, I want to use both amps in stereo(mono if no other way) instead of one amp with the 4 cable method. Is this possible??

Maybe using an ABY box on the final leg of the 4CM (where it returns to the amps FX return) this will split the signal into 2 identical signals you will the put one cable into the fx return of one amp and the other to the other amp.

But doing something like this will only u8se the preamp of one of the amps and the power amp of both.

You could run an ABY pedal at the front of the signal chain and then split one cable to one amp and the other to the processor for the 4cm.

but from what it seems your looking to do, no there really isn't any viable way to do it.

Thanks! I was hoping there were other ways, but maybe I am too optimistic. Thanks for the help

I pulled up your pedal and you can run both amps with the GT8, but only one can be the 4cm, you'd just use the R output into the other amp and hook up the GT8 the same way you have been to the other amp.
