I just recently bought a Vox AC4C1-12. The stock speaker is a VX12, which I understand is actually a Seventy/80. I have a spare 12" Greenback 25w 16ohm speaker thar I was thinking of swapping. How much improvement should I see, or is it better to break in the stock speaker to find out how good it will be?
Thanks for any input.

Greenbacks sound good with Vox amps, I'd swap them if you already have the speaker.

Seventy 80's are the second worst Celestion that you can buy. Stick the greenback into it and use the Seventy 80 as a plant pot.

I bought a used Crate 4x12 that was loaded with 70/80s for $99, I really only wanted the cabinet to put some Eminence Patriots in. But in I gave the Celestians a try then promptly pulled them out and sold them for $99.
